GET Solar in SWPA Region
The GET Solar program supports organizations and public entities throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. As a statewide nonprofit, the Pennsylvania Solar Center works with organizations across Pennsylvania to advance solar adoption.
PA SolarCorps Mapping in SWPA
The Pennsylvania Solar Center is helping Southwestern PA go solar—one building at a time. We support local leaders as they engage businesses, nonprofits, schools, and faith communities to explore solar energy with free, trusted guidance and technical support.
Our SolarCorps volunteers play a key role by identifying properties with strong solar potential. These solar maps are a powerful tool that show organizations just how viable solar energy can be for them. With this data in hand, the GET Solar team helps interested property owners obtain competitive proposals and develop financing strategies.
Thanks to our incredible volunteers, we’ve already identified over 1500 prime solar sites in Southwestern PA—and we’re just getting started!
