NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR BUSINESSES & NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN HARRISBURG

GET Solar: Harrisburg is a group of local community leaders partnering with the PA Solar Center (a statewide nonprofit) to educate businesses, nonprofits, and community property owners on the benefits of going solar through their GET Solar Communities program. With the rising cost of electricity and the new federal incentives available for those going solar, now is the time to explore how going solar on your property can save you money.

Together, we will provide free technical assistance and financial guidance to organizations in Harrisburg who want to learn more about going solar — and how it can save them money.

For example, the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) successfully went solar last year through the GET Solar program. It will save them an estimated $750,000 in energy costs over the next 28 years. The best part? Thanks to a specialized and simple financing package, CCAC didn’t have to put any money down for the project!

LEARN CREATIVE WAYS YOUR ORGANIZATION CAN REAP THE BENEFITS OF SOLAR

The PA Solar Center will even offer a free assessment of your company’s solar potential and issue RFPs (requests for proposals) for estimates from qualified solar developers. The PA Solar Center will review the bids with you and help you make sense of them — serving as your unbiased guide through the entire process. Another advantage of the GET Solar program is that it can offer discounted pricing for everyone (since developers will be bidding on multiple projects in one area).
