GET Solar with the RISE Project with this Informational Meeting

02/08/2024 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Beaver County businesses and tax-exempt organizations are invited to an in-person meeting to learn how they can save money on their electricity bill by going solar.

The RISE Project is partnering with the PA Solar Center to host a presentation on how organizations in Beaver County can receive significant federal benefits and special regional financing. Join us at the Felician Sisters’ Our Lady of Hope Provincial House to learn more about their own path to solar and how your organization can insulate against rising electricity prices.

Go to to fill out a prequalification survey and the PA Solar Center will provide a high-level estimate of your solar potential during the meeting.

The RISE Project is a partnership among local nonprofits RiverWise, the Pennsylvania Solar Center, and New Sun Rising to help guide Beaver County businesses and nonprofits through the process of going solar through the PA Solar Center’s G.E.T. Solar program. G.E.T. Solar is a streamlined process that instills organizations and communities with confidence in going solar by leveraging trusted tools and resources, as well as connecting organizations to qualified solar professionals.

With the quickly rising cost of electricity and the new federal incentives available for those going solar, now is the time to explore how going solar on your own property can save your organization hundreds to thousands of dollars on electricity bills.  For example, just last year, the Community College of Allegheny County successfully went solar through the GET Solar Program and will save an estimated $750,000 in energy costs over the next 28 years. And thanks to a specialized, yet simple financing package, CCAC didn’t have to put any money down for the project.

Learn some creative ways your own business or organization can reap the benefits of solar energy by attending our informational session. At the meeting you can expect to learn more about the following:

  • Federal tax credits and grants that provide a minimum of 30% reduction on the system cost
  • Free technical assistance from the PA Solar Center
  • What to look for when selecting a solar developer
  • USDA REAP program grants and loans that offer up to 50% for rural businesses and ag producers

The PA Solar Center will even offer a free assessment of your company’s solar potential — and can issue RFPs for estimates from qualified solar developers. The PA Solar Center will review the bids with you and help you make sense of them — serving as your unbiased guide through the whole process.

Participation if free, but registration is required. Hope to see you there!
